Here's What Students Say

(The Two-Year Program)

The New Actors WorkshopThis program begins where others aspire to leave you.

Strap yourself in and get ready to explore: I expected to learn and grow, but this was unbelievable.

The entire student body joined in creating a supportive network.

All my prior experience and training offered me only expensive ways to avoid my own coming of age. This is a program for actors who want to become artists, not just pawns in the industry or glamorous faces. The faculty, for all their hard-earned theater wisdom, still have and teach a reverence for actors, the true selflessness of the art.

George, Paul and Mike led me on an amazing journey of self acceptance, and opened more doors than I thought existed.

About halfway through the first year seemingly divergent courses integrated themselves almost magically into an incredibly cogent and comprehensive course of study.

I've studied acting in NYC for four years with renowned and popular teachers, and this is the first program I've encountered that prepares you to go out and begin working after the first year.

The New Actors WorkshopThe two-year program integrates voice and body work of all types into a coherent process which the actor can tailor to her own individualized acting needs.

I've learned to accept who I am and where I am as an acting student. I've developed an understanding not only of acting technique, but of all forms of art.

A fantastic program... During the first year I lost myself and then began to discover who I really am. I amazed myself and others with my acting in the final project.

This unique program has built an incredibly supportive network of students, teachers, and graduates. It's allowed me to learn what "taking risks" in my acting really means. I'd studied for five years with several good teachers before I came to NAW. George starts from ground zero with the basics: how to come on stage, how to deal with nervousness, etc. I found that enormously effective. No one credible had done that with me before.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the best of three worlds in my acting training. We can take what works for us and make it our own. I trust myself and my instincts.

It seems there's a shared agreement between Mike, Paul and George about our goals as actors, and yet the experience is vastly different in each class.

The New Actors WorkshopThe program has showed me how to open the door to my creative process.

The quality of the students' educational backgrounds and their ability to ingest an enormous amount of information is impressive.

This school challenged me to discard theories and methods of acting and instead to look within myself for the key.

The first year students developed into a real community of actors.
