GRADUATE ACTIVITIES

The Workshop supports continuing ensemble work by graduates by offering professional guidance and moral support, rehearsal and performance space below cost, and continuing access to Mr. Nichols' master class. Graduates have formed six performance ensembles since the founding of the school. Graduates have produced productions of Cheatin', The Baby Dance, Tales of Revenge and Death, Geography of a Horse Dreamer, Seascape with Sharks and Dancer, As You Like It, La Ronde, 3-1-AX, Speed the Plow, Luck of the Draw, Stories of Fate and Will, The Seagull, Jeffrey, Burn This, and Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, Italian American Reconciliation, Like Rabbits, The Savior of Fenway. It is this kind of independent, self-generated artistic activity that the three founders hoped to nurture when they first conceived of the school, and we look forward to an expanding agenda of graduate productions in future years.

Toad City Productions: was formed by New Actors grads (Producers Adrienne Flagg and Greg Zide, along with several N.A.W. actors) in 1992-'93 and moved to Portland, Oregon in 1994 where they have since become an integral part of Portland's theatre scene. As a 501c3 non-profit professional theatre company they produce Improv Cabarets, new plays, workshops for adults and children, and are entering into spoken word events. toadcity.org
